Punishment of the Oppressor

Scroll down to content

Islam does not tolerate or promote any form of oppression.

From several ahadeeth recorded, oppression is a great sin that on the day of judgement, the oppressor will be asked to pay for his wrong doings.

Every single little thing will be accounted for.

Unless he (the oppressor) has asked for forgiveness from the one he has oppressed, before death takes over him (the oppressor.)

On the day of judgement, the oppressor cannot present his wealth, his money, or his sons as payment.

His good deeds, if there is any, will be used as payment.

For every single wrong, his good deeds will be deducted, according to the oppression he has done, and his good deeds will be transferred to the one he has oppressed.

When the oppressor runs out of good deeds as payment, he will shoulder now the sins of the one he has oppressed, still according to the oppression done.

The sins of the oppressed will be deducted from the latter and will be transferred to the oppressor.

The oppressed now, will be relieved of some sins, as his sin will go to the oppressor.

In one hadith it says.

Narrated by Abu Huraira

Allah’s Apostle said, “Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him.”
